WHY ORIGIN?

Origin came from building our own choppers. We wanted Mid Controls that looked right on the bike, worked with an open primary and could take real miles. So we made them.

Mid Controls for selected Evo-powered Softail, Dyna and custom chopper builds from 1990–2006. Built around open-primary setups and available in aluminum or stainless steel.

WHAT IS THE FAMOUS ORIGIN SERIES?
Origin is where Famous started. Mid Controls for stripped-down Harley-Davidson and V-Twin choppers based around selected Evolution and Shovelhead applications.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EVO ALUMINUM AND STAINLESS?
Evo Aluminum Mids use CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum main components with stainless shafts and hardware. Evo Stainless Mids use stainless construction and a different shift-arm layout around the open primary.
DO EVO ALUMINUM MIDS REQUIRE DRILLING?
Yes. The shift shaft passes through the inner motor plate. Installation requires drilling the corresponding hole through the motor plate.
DO EVO STAINLESS MIDS REQUIRE DRILLING?
No. The shift arm runs between the motor plate and belt drive. Drilling through the inner motor plate is not required.
WHICH BELT DRIVES ARE COMPATIBLE?
Selected Evo Origin applications work with specific BDL, Ultima and Rivera Primo open belt drive systems. Exact fitment depends on the Mid Controls, transmission, clutch and primary setup. Always check the product-specific fitment before ordering.
