The Engineering: Why Materials Matter

Most aftermarket pegs look good but fail under pressure. We use 6061 - T6 (aircraft-grade aluminum) for our levers.

Why? Because it offers the perfect balance of tensile strength and durability.

  • Pivot Pins: Our pins are made from hardened 304 Stainless Steel. No play, no wobble—even after 50,000 miles.
  • Modular Design: Our mounting plates are CNC-machined for specific chassis.

That means true bolt-on precision for M8 Softail, Dyna, Touring, FXR, Sportster, Chopper and Twin Cam—no "universal" adapter junk.

Performance & Geometry

A proper mid-control swap doesn't just change your foot position; it changes the center of gravity of your bike.

  • Lean Angle: Our kits are tucked in tight to the primary to maximize lean angle.
  • Direct Feedback: By centering your weight, you control the bike through your hips—essential for high-speed Clubstyle builds and aggressive cornering.

The Roadmap to TUV / Street Legality

This is where we separate the pros from the amateurs. We know US-imports (like the great Stuff from TC Bros or Performance Machine) are a legal dead-end in Europe.

  • Current Status: Our systems are currently undergoing rigorous testing according to VdTÜV-Merkblatt 758 standards.
  • Material Certificates: Every kit is currently shipped with a Materialgutachten (Material Certificate). This is the foundation for individual approval (Einzelabnahme).
  • Goal 2026: We are working toward full Teilegutachten (TGA). When you buy Famous Fabricator, you invest in engineering that’s built for the street—not just the parking lot.

FAQ: Tech & Fitment

Q: Will these fit my M8 Softail?
A: Yes. We’ve engineered specific plates for the Milwaukee-Eight chassis (Low Rider S, Fat Bob, Street Bob, etc.). No guessing, no drilling.

Q: Can I swap back from Forward Controls?
A: Absolutely. Our kit utilizes the factory mounting points. We provide the linkage, you provide the tools. It’s a clean afternoon job.

Q: Do I lose lean angle?
A: On the contrary. We build our mids "high and tight." You’ll gain ground clearance compared to bulky forward control setups.
