This Is Where
It Started.
Famous started with Mid Controls for choppers. The parts we wanted for our own builds simply did not exist, so we made them.
What began with stripped-down Evo and Twin Cam bikes, open belt drives and custom V-Twin builds became the foundation for everything that followed — Performance, Replacement and every Famous Mid Control after it.
Fitment &
Construction
Designed for custom chopper, Softail and Dyna applications using Evo or Twin Cam engines, 5- or 6-speed transmissions and compatible open belt drives.
Built In
Stainless.
The Stainless Origin Mids take the original Famous chopper-control concept and build it in stainless steel.
Raw mechanical character, durable construction and the same function-first approach behind the Origin Series.
Stainless Construction
Structural control components are CNC-machined from stainless steel.
304 Stainless Hardware
Shafts and bolts are manufactured from 304 stainless steel.
Brushed Finish
Brushed stainless keeps the raw, industrial character of the material visible.
Origin DNA
Built around the same mechanical and visual foundation that started Famous.
Built Around
The Primary.
Origin Stainless Mid Controls are designed around open-belt and custom-primary applications. Primary-drive geometry and component clearance are part of the complete installation.
Built For Open Belt.
- BDL: EVO-12S 3", EVO-9S 3", EV575 Series
- Ultima: 2" E/TC 90–06, EV500 91–05
- Primo: Brute IV 2" and 3"
Exact compatibility depends on the complete primary and frame setup.
14mm ISR.
The brake side is equipped with a 14mm ISR rear brake master cylinder.
The master cylinder is integrated directly into the brake-side control assembly.
No Motor-Plate Drilling.
The Stainless Origin setup uses a dedicated shift-side routing between the motor plate and belt drive.
No drilling of the inner motor plate is required.
Every Build Is Different.
Exact fitment, primary-drive compatibility and available clearance depend on the complete bike configuration.
Exhaust systems and other custom components can affect clearance.
No Motor-Plate
Drilling.
The Stainless Origin Mids use a different shift-side layout than the aluminum Origin setup.
The shift arm passes directly between the inner motor plate and the belt drive.
No drilling of the inner motor plate is required. This keeps the motor plate intact while maintaining the intended Origin shift-side layout.
Exhaust clearance can vary depending on the individual pipes and complete bike setup. Minor adjustments may be required on some applications.
Professional installation is recommended. Verify shift movement, brake operation, belt clearance, fasteners and exhaust clearance before riding.
Recheck all fasteners and control operation after the first 50 miles / 80 km.
